Why a party boat steals the weekend

Just your crew

The whole boat is yours

Every HampTiki cruise is a private charter. No strangers, no other parties: connect your phone to the Bluetooth sound system and the playlist is yours too.

Bring the drinks. The bathroom’s already here.

It’s BYOB for guests 21 and up (unbreakable cups, no glass), and food is welcome. Ice water, cups and a cooler of ice come with every cruise, and there’s a bathroom on board with a small changing room.

Swim, float, repeat

Drop anchor at a sandbar and climb onto the float, an 8ft one comes with every trip. Add the 16ft party float or the inflatable slide when you book.

Pick a boat. Split the bill.

Two boats, both U.S. Coast Guard inspected and fully insured. Move the slider to your group size and see what it comes to each.

How the afternoon goes

Every cruise is private, so the route is yours to plan with the captain. A typical bachelorette afternoon looks like this.

  1. Turquoise lounge seats on the deck of the HampTiki boat at the dock

    Meet at the dock

Board at 6 Tepee Street in Hampton Bays. Load the cooler, find a lounge seat, queue the first song.

  2. Calm bay water seen from under the boat’s roof, past the yellow railing

    Cruise the bays

Out through the Shinnecock Canal and around Peconic and Shinnecock Bays, past the Ponquogue Bridge and Dune Road. The boat rarely goes faster than 7 mph, so drinks stay upright.

  3. A group of women floating together on a big round float in the bay

    Drop anchor and swim

Pull up at a sandbar, throw the float in and spend the middle of the cruise in the water.

  4. A wooden signpost at a marina at night pointing to Rumba, Montauk and New York City

A dockside stop, if you like

Waterfront restaurants along the way have docks you can pull up to, like Rumba, Cowfish, Canal Café, Oaklands, Sundays on the Bay and Station Bar.

  5. Orange sunset over flat bay water

    Ride back at golden hour

Book an evening cruise and the sun goes down over the bay on the way back to the dock.

What’s on board, what you bring

Already on the boat

  • An 8ft SunChill float
  • Fresh ice water and cups
  • A cooler of ice
  • Bluetooth sound system for your playlist
  • A bathroom on board, with a small changing room

You bring

  • Your drinks (guests 21+ only) in cans or unbreakable cups, no glass
  • Food and snacks
  • Swimsuits, towels and sunscreen
  • The sashes, the veil, the matching hats
  • Your playlist
  • Every guest signs a short waiver online before the cruise.
  • A 15–20% tip for the captain is customary.
  • Light rain usually isn’t a problem: both boats have a canopy. If HampTiki has to cancel because of weather, mechanical issues, safety or anything else unforeseen, you choose a full refund or a credit toward a future trip.
  • The full cancellation policy is in the questions below.

I went with my favorite girls for my bachelorette and it was hands-down the highlight of the entire weekend. Every single girl said it was their favorite part of the trip! … Captain Mike was the absolute best — so much fun, easygoing, and clearly LOVES what he does.

It was the perfect activity to sing, dance, and hang with the girl. Despite a litrle drizzle, it was so fun! Bonus points that there was a bathroom on board, and being able to hook up our own music!

We had a great time as part of a bachelorette (12 women). He was very responsive in planning, created a fun environment and was flexible with our route/plan. A must-do for Hamptons bachelorettes!

At the wheel

The captain is half the party

Captain Mike Cimino owns HampTiki. Bachelorette groups keep writing about the same things: he answers every question before the day, keeps the energy up on board, and he’s laughing as much as they are.

  • OwnerRuns HampTiki himself
  • USCG25-ton Master license
  • CPRand First Aid certified
  • URIDegree in Marine Affairs, University of Rhode Island

Both boats are U.S. Coast Guard inspected and fully insured, and the crew is drug-tested.

Questions the maid of honor always asks

How many people fit on the boat?

HampTiki has two boats. Hamptiki takes up to 12 guests and La Sirena takes up to 35, so a small bridal party and a big one both fit.

How much is the party boat for a bachelorette?

Hamptiki is $800 for 2 hours for the first 6 guests, then $100 per extra guest. La Sirena is $1,850 for 2 hours for the first 15 guests, then $125 per extra guest. Extra time is $400 an hour on Hamptiki and $900 an hour on La Sirena, if available. A 15–20% tip for the captain is customary.

How do we hold a date?

Text (516) 709-8640 or email hamptiki@gmail.com to leave a $25 deposit and hold your date. That way you also skip the 6% online booking fee.

Can we bring our own drinks and food?

Yes. BYOB. Guests must be 21+ to drink. Unbreakable drinkware only. Food is welcome on board. Ice water, cups and a cooler of ice are provided.

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

Yes. There is a toilet on board with a small changing room.

Can we play our own music?

Yes. Connect a phone to the Bluetooth sound system and play whatever you like. You can also add karaoke to either boat for $50.

What happens if the weather is bad?

They usually go out in light rain, under a 16×10 ft canopy on Hamptiki and a 25×12 ft canopy on La Sirena. Thunder and lightning means they cancel or postpone. And if you’re not comfortable with the conditions, talk to them about a refund or a new date. If HampTiki has to cancel because of weather, mechanical issues, safety or anything else unforeseen, you choose a full refund or a credit toward a future trip.

What’s your cancellation policy?

7 or more days before your charter: a full refund, minus the built-in 3% credit card processing fee. Between 7 days and 48 hours before: a 50% refund, or move your trip to a later date. Within 48 hours: no refund, but you can reschedule for a future date, subject to availability. A no-show without notice is charged the full charter price and may lose the option to reschedule.

Can we swim?

Yes. Every cruise comes with an 8ft float, and you can add the 16ft Party Chill Float ($75) or an inflatable slide ($75, on cruises of 3 hours or more).

Where do we meet the boat?

At 6 Tepee Street, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.
